I always enjoy playing telephone.
Today we played in class and I was last.. so I said.. "You are a query" because that's what I heard.
Then I found out the original message was "avoid fruits and nuts- you are what you eat."
mhm.
I'm sick and it's 86 degrees outside.
When did this happen?!

goodbye humpday
hello weekend!
although the beginning of the week was whatev (nights were fun though) i am anticipating the weekend which begins at 10:50am tomorrow! well maybe after i get off of work at 6 it'll really begin.
i stayed the longest i've ever stayed at work- but it was quite eventful. I'm not going to go into great detail because what I find amusing, other may find boring, and I know being able to say whatever you want is at the forefront of all a blog stands for but I honestly don't feel like typing about it.
Anyway,
It's always funny to learn that co workers, past school mates, etc. are habitual drug users, mainly because you it's always the person you least expected. (which is almost always true) perfect, or not so perfect example, moi.
Closer Connections.
I read this somewhere and it was funny at the time:
With alcohol, it's a poison that's entering your body and making you feel 'drunk'.
You have : liver failure, liver deterioration, alcohol poisoning (can cause death)
With weed, you have : build up of all sorts of shit in the lungs, breathing problems. That's it. Nothing to die from, whatsoever.
If ANYONE, EVER says that someone has died from weed, they're lying. It is IMPOSSIBLE to die directly from smoking the buddha stank. You WILL pass the fuck out before you get to the point where you have an overdose of THC.
While the latter is a little appeasing, I happen to consume/intake/inhale both.
my favorite part of that thing i found online was : " You WILL pass the fuck out "
it reminded me of "Don't have sex. You will get pregnant. You will die."
I can't help but be excited when things go well. I got a cover story for my marquee article. Even though it's just the Cypress Chronicle woo hoo (circulation is probably something along the lines of.... 20- not really though) it's still makes me feel like as if I've found my niche. (but I'm not into it- it being news reporting)
change of proposed life plan:
graduate
work in the city so i have a reason to move in with someone
work+masters
i'm a little distracted so tootles.

au natural
today my professor's laptop wasn't working with the LCD screen so she asked the class if anyone wanted to lend their laptop for the duration of the class. I would have done it, except last time I readily handed my laptop to be used for academic purposes, I forgot that everyone would see my desktop, which happened to be an embarrassing picture at the time.

sometime I don't know if I can believe these personality tests. My results rarely directly match up to my career choice. Apparently I should be something along the lines of Gandhi, Eleanor Roosevelt, Princess Diana, or Mikhael Gorbachev.
it's november already!

ends justify the means
i like listening to the smart people in class.
I found out that the study abroad program I want to do is being held in Tanzania. I immediately googled traveling and safety tips for traveling in Tanzania, and what I found was not good.
The central areas of the larger cities (e.g. Dar Es Salaam, Zanzibar) have a criminal element that preys on unwary tourists! Do not walk alone in apparently deserted places especially at night; wherever possible walk with a group. Be on the look out for pickpockets and bag snatchers. Do not carry more cash than required. Do not wear jewellery. Wear a money belt that fits under your clothes. Don't carry a lot of camera equipment especially in the major cities. Keep a photocopy of the first few pages of your passport, visas and air tickets, separately from the original documents. Beware of thieves posing as police officers.
So now I don't know what to do! Go to an unsafe third world country for two weeks? or be a bum at home for two weeks?
This week has been going by quickly and I like it.
As I sit in this international public health class, I'm thinking I want to go to a third world country after graduation. After I graduate, I won't know what to do.. unless i already have a full time job (i can only dream/dread)
so here are options I have for the future:
Find a full time job
Find a good internship and keep my normal job
Decide what to get my master's in
-- either MBA or MHA
--- and if MBA: i'll have to apply for that program
if MHA: start school (again) right after graduation
Or, if I get to graduate/walk and still have one more class to take, I can just do my internship class?
continuing my list..
Travel to Australia or France or anywhere where I can do volunteer work or find a good internship related to healthcare/public health/ public relations
((find someone to travel with))
Live in San Francisco, Boston, or New York for a semester/couple of months and find a relevant internship there
so many options!!!
Hopefully I'm still driven by then.
and as much as I keep dreaming of having my own apartment, I realize there is no need to at all. As idyllic as it sounds, I have almost everything I need right at home... so why bother?
zzyzx!

we'll let the market take care of it
i always re-think my major decision from time to time.. but now i'm for sure!
ahh the future is NOW. everyone will be graduating in like next couple years!
days go by fast.. but class goes by so darn slow.
an hour ago, i fell asleep- sitting in the front row- of the class that i'm in.. and the teacher tapped my table.
and i'm still in this freaking class!
and someone just walked in.. 1 hour and 55 minutes late.. what the hell.
Looking back, I have had several different major options seem appealing to me.
I applied to college as a biochem major (BIG mistake!!!)
Before, everytime someone suggested a career, i really took that career into consideration and researched what classes to take and a lot of other basic information regarding it.
First there was dermatology (biochem)
then there was being an accountant
then there was being involved in stocks & investments (finance)
then i considered being a communications major (idk what career i was thinking about)
and i really don't know when healthcare admin came into the picture! oh yeah.. it's because i wanted to be a doctor.. then i thought about business. and then i realized duh.. healthcare+business
then i met this professor in my healthcare in america class who introduced me to public relations and marketing and tried to convince me to get my BA in journalism.
off tangent: my professor just said something about the number of doctors in beverly hills and compton.. and everybody laughed- that's a little mean.. even though i laughed too. haha
so whatever.. the point of me making this list is to just look at all of the different options i had.. and reiterate the fact that there are so many freaking career options!
and currently, my decision is to double major in healthcare administration & journalism.
for the future- i plan to get my MBA in hopes of being a well-rounded businesswoman.
BUT- who knows!! this could change! but i dont want it to!
whatever!
AND i'm still IN CLASS! what the hell!

The Work Poop.
We've all been there- maybe not at work- but at school, church, dinner, whatever. You're just lounging around and all of the sudden, you feel something stirring up your tum tum. So you head over to the bathroom- and of course, it's the most quiet bathroom ever, where everything echoes. Of course, there's a closed door and you wonder whether it's just closed or if someone's actually in there, perhaps a fellow pooper or a bulimic mess purging her lunch. Whatever the case, you head to the stall, assuming no one is there, and do your business. Don't you hate it when you think you won't make a sound, but like 2 seconds later you release gas and it's the loudest fart ever? Or the "plop" sound your poop makes? Even though it's such a natural thing to do, you can't help but feel the embarassment when you hear a the toilet roll go around and realize someone is actually on the can 2 stalls down. So what do you do about it?
I've fallen victim to the work poop, a mere 2 minutes ago.
Luckily, whoever she was wasn't one of those meanies that linger around and wait for you walk of shame out of the bathroom stall.

Taking is too easy, but that's the way it is.
Coffee is wild.. I'm trembling.
I'm counting down the days until I'm done with this place. I'm over with being stuck in traffic for hours when it should only take me 30 minutes to go and from this place!
